Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology

In the Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology, Kathryn specializes in providing primary health care for women. In collaboration with department physicians, Kathryn performs routine gynecologic examinations, evaluates and treats minor illnesses, and provides routine prenatal and postpartum care. She also has a special interest in perinatal nursing.

Why I Chose Healthcare

I have wanted to be a nurse/educator since I was a little girl. Becoming a nurse practitioner was a perfect fit for me. I developed a passion for women and children’s care as a labor and delivery and maternal life flight nurse at St. Francis. This was further fueled during graduate school at the University of Illinois as I worked with midwives, pediatricians, and obstetricians.
